BBQ Competition

Brickhead BBQ takes top honors at 2016 Festival
R-L: Lori and Joe Loth with Shelby and Jake

A proud tradition . . .

The Blue Ridge BBQ Festival, started in 1994 has a list of winners who are a Who's Who in the BBQ Contest World.  The Tryon BBQ was won last year by Rebecca and Walt Moulton of Rocky Top Barbeque, continuing the tradition of winners and making them a two time winner.  The first contest was won by Beaver Caster, followed by the likes of Oink, Cackle and Moo, BS PitMeisters, Cool Smoke,, and Two Old men and a Grill, and Rocky Top.

“Cooker Friendly” was an early moniker for Tryon, and one we are most proud. And Tryon's aim is that it continues today. The contest is run by some of KCBS's finest representatives; Kathy and Phillip Brazier, and Rusty and Julie Cook. Tryon tries in every way to make your competing an enjoyable and fun time for cooks, family and friends.
