On an upcoming summer evening, Blue Ridge Barbecue & Music Festival organizers will reward Gala guests with the "Best of the Barbecue" exquisite food, spirits, live entertainment and a behind-the-scenes view of our State Championship Barbecue Competition.
The pre-Festival Farm to Table Gala will be held on the Festival grounds at Harmon Field in Tryon. As final steps are being taken for the Festival's opening, Gala guests will enjoy a five-course meal featuring foods from local farms and slow cooked meats prepared by championship cookers. And to cap the evening, one of the most popular blues bands in the region, Gas House Mouse, will entertain.

The Event: The Farm To Table Gala is slated for Thursday, June 11, 2009 at 7 p.m., taking place on the eve of the Blue Ridge Barbecue & Music Festival.
The Menu: Five course meal featuring foods from local farms and slow cooked meats prepared by championship cookers.
Entertainment: Gas House Mouse, one of the most popular blues performers in the Upstate/Western North Carolina area.
Proceeds: Proceeds from The Farm To Table Gala benefit Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Polk County and the Carolina Foothills Chamber Foundation.
Location: On the oval at Harmon Field as the Blue Ridge Barbecue & Music Festival gets its final touch-up before opening day.
