A new event at the Blue Ridge Barbecue Festival, the Hawg Run To Fun brings a new element to the Festival, a motorcycle poker run covering two states.
The Hawg Run To Fun is held to benefit Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Polk County and the Carolina Foothills Chamber Foundation.
Bikers will begin the run at the Harley-Davidson shop in Greenville, South Carolina, then wind their way through Upstate South Carolina into North Carolina and to the Festival grounds in Tryon.

The Event: The Hawg Run To Fun is a motorcycle poker run slated for Saturday, June 13, 2009, beginning at 10 a.m.
Registration: Bikers may begin registering for the run at 9 a.m. on Saturday, June 13. Registration will be held at the Harley-Davidson store in Greenville, South Carolina, where the Run will begin.
Proceeds: Proceeds from The Hawg Run To Fun benefit Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Polk County and the Carolina Foothills Chamber Foundation.
Cost/Prizes: There is an entry fee of $15 that includes admission to the Blue Ridge BBQ Festival. There will be a cash prize for the best hand and a gift basket for the worst hand.
