GDS - Republic Services of NC again part of Festival's Going Green effort
GDS – Republic Services of NC LLC is proud and honored to be affiliated with the 15th annual Blue Ridge BBQ Festival as “Going Green” sponsors for the second year. By raising awareness of how recycling and other reduction behaviors can help us protect our limited natural resources, GDS is dedicated to reducing both the volume and environmental impact of the waste our communities produce.

Utilizing the national technological resources of Republic Services combined with the expertise and flexibility of local management, GDS is committed to environmental compliance while offering solid waste and recycling solutions that add to the quality of life in the communities we serve.
GDS has been servicing Western North Carolina commercial, industrial and residential customers with solid waste and recycling solutions for over 50 years. Last year our Material Recovery Facility (MRF) in Spindale NC diverted over 4,500 tons of recyclables from going into our landfills from our surrounding area.
